Professional audiovisual design since 2011

Tulevaisuus kylä

Tulevaisuus kylä (translated as Future Village) was an festival that was held in main square of Tampere in 2nd and 3th of September, 2011. The festival was produced by Sanataideyhdistys Yöstäjät ry, Tampere university of applied sciences, City of Tampere and Maan ystävät organization. The festival consisted lectures, panel discussions and music events. All of these were connected in sustainable living and climate change in some way.
I was in charge of the sound for the festival. My duty was to set up the sound systems in few locations (There were two main stages: one outdoors and the other one was in huge tent).  I also engineered the speeches and mixed few live shows. The project was challenging since we had to do everything from the scratch. Starting from counting the power consumption of the sound systems (part of the festival energy came from solar panels so we had to be really precises with our calculations). The equipment for the festival came from our school: Tampere university of applied sciences.

The festival was a blast. Lots of work but serious fun. Sustainability is close to my heart and I was delighted when I was asked to do the sound for the festival.
